Overview

Neon Menu is a family dinner planning app made by Neon Notepad. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what's necessary to make the app work.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Account information

• Email address (if you sign up with email)
• Name and profile photo (if you sign in with Google or Apple)

App data

• Dishes you create (names, descriptions, emoji)
• Polls you create and vote counts
• Your image pack and theme preferences

Anonymous voting

• When family members vote via a join link without an account, Firebase assigns them a temporary anonymous ID. This ID is not linked to any personal information.

Usage data

• Firebase automatically collects basic usage data such as app crashes and performance metrics to help us improve the app.

How we use your data

• To provide the core features of the app — menu management, polls and voting
• To sync your data across your devices
• To let family members vote on polls via join links
• To restore your preferences when you reinstall the app
• To improve app stability and fix bugs

We do not Sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.

Third party services

Neon Menu uses the following third party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database storage, and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Sign In — optional sign in method. Google Privacy Policy
• Sign in with Apple — optional sign in method. Apple Privacy Policy

These services may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States. Firebase uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Access to your data is protected by Firebase security rules — only you can read or modify your dishes and polls.

Children's privacy

Neon Menu is designed for family use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — all your data is visible within the app
• Delete your data — go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data — contact us at support@neon-notepad.com To request a copy of your data

Account deletion removes your email, dishes, and polls from our servers within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
